Columbia High Trail Family Dome Tent Review

I bought this tent for a family trip to Yellowstone. It’s a great tent. Large enough for two queen sized air mattresses and plenty of room for all the additional gear for a week of family fun. My seven year old twins and I put it up in about 10 minutes.
It rained our first night and we stayed completely dry, the factory sealant kept all water out. The next afternoon the wind was extremely strong. As we drove through the campground there were no less than 20 tents that had been flattened by the wind. We were happy to see our tent had no problem. This is the biggest reason why I chose this tent. Although this is a VERY tall tent, (At 6 foot I can easily stand and walk around) the design seems to be sleek enough to withstand wind without too much vibration or noise. We camp by both mountains and ocean, on a regular basis, so that is important. One thing to keep in mind when putting this tent up, which was mentioned in another review, the longest pole is for the rain-fly. It goes into the rain fly in a very small “sleeve” which is not marked very well near the side of the rain-fly. The instructions are a bit vague. Even so It goes up very easy.
