I have had the original CMG Infinity for awhile and I thought I would see what the new Gerber was like. I really liked the design on the original infinity. It was simple and solid. The new version is a little different but still a great light. The first difference I noticed was the size. It is a little bit longer and a little bit wider than my CMG. It is a small difference but still noticeable. One of the main differences is the design of the tube. There is a tailcap that comes off as oposed to the CMG version in which the LED end screwed off. This design gives you a momentary on feature. If you twist the tailcap until the light is on and then back it off a little you can turn the light on momentarily by putting pressure on the back of the light. It comes in handy. I like this light and for the price you may be able to get brighter but this thing is solid and dependable. The light also lasts forever on 1xaa. For general purpose this is a great light, Gerber 22-80012 Infinity Ultra Task LED Flashlight. Also, the clip on this works great on a Fenix L1D.
